Iran has developed a new laser detector for its tanks and other armored vehicles. The detector is mounted on a 1m mast above the turret to provide 360-degree coverage. The detector can determine the direction that the laser is coming from, and can distinguish between a laser rangefinder and a laser that is guiding a missile, bomb, or artillery shell. --Stephen V Cole
