The Swedish military reports it will be $145 million short on funding this year. There is virtually no chance of the Swedish parliament providing more money, so the Swedish military is trying to find other solutions. Critics charge that the Swedish military cannot carry out the missions that the government has assigned to it, such as intervening in a Russian invasion of Estonia, Latvia, or Lithuania.--Stephen V Cole
