Serbia's opposition, encouraged by the Croatian opposition's electoral victory, held a "unity conference" to try and form a unified front against Slobodan Milosevic. Vuk Draskovic, head of the Serb Renewal Movement (SPO) set up the meeting. 16 other groups attended.
