Two senior Pakistani nuclear scientists were detained by Pakistani police. The two were questioned about possible connections with the bin Laden organization. Bin Laden has attempted to get materials and technology to build a nuclear weapon. Five Arabs, lacking proper travel documents, were arrested in western Pakistan. The five are suspected of being part of the bin Laden organization. Several thousand pro-Taliban demonstrators rioted in Karachi.   In Kashmir, rebel violence left eight rebels and two civilians dead. In Bombay, India, police arrested four Kashmiri rebels suspected of planning assassinations in the city.
