Osama bin Laden is no longer a popular hero in Pakistan, except in the far north, where pro-Taliban Pushtuns still keep the faith. The Taliban's rapid fall convinced most people that bin Laden and his crew were more bark than bite. And maybe president Musharraf was right in backing the American war on terrorism. Violence in Kashmir left two civilians and four rebels dead.
